"What hump?" is a reference to Mel Brooks' excellent Young Frankenstein. To be clear, I am NOT the father of Sandstorm's baby, in spite of what Stretch might think.
When Sandstorm confronts me, it's like a Pantene commercial with all our hair.

The henchmen's words in the final panel are a slight corruption of Frank Zappa's lyrics from the song "We're Turning Again." The S-Team: Knowledge Is Power.

You know how in the movies, guys always run yelling away from whatever it is that's about to explode, then jump just as it does? You know why they do it? It looks cool.
Eric Larsen of Image Comics, creator of the Savage Dragon, loves to use sound effects for explosions that go "THRAKAKOOOOM!" So I did one better. If you don't know who Chaka Khan is, you're probably a lot younger than me.
Here's a link to the video of probably her most famous song (totally work-safe, except the day-glo '80s outfits may possibly blind you).

"There is no spoon" was made famous in the movie The Matrix when spoken to Neo by a bald kid who bent spoons with his mind.
